Vancouver East is a wonderful environment for raising children with a wide range of schooling options available for them. The annual intake in the area is quite large, coming in at approximately 54,000 students. The system is very diverse and includes both prestigious private schools and standard public schools. These include Vancouver Community College, Notre Dame Regional Secondary School and West Coast Christian School. For those with older children, the prestigious University of British Columbia is not too far away for family visits on the weekends which is a huge plus.
